When you have the nuts, or close to it in your case, I'll always give the free card but bet the turn. If no one makes anything, then that's my luck. If someone makes a good pair on the turn or maybe makes a set with his pocket pair, I'm happy. It's just too much of an obvious play to check to the river then checkraise a river bet with no prior action.
Also small and continuous bets will do you some good, if there's a flush or straight possibility when you flop a boat, give them great odds to draw for it. If they hit it, you'll have a nice little raise and re-raise fest on the river.
