    Default What to do?

Do I go all in? Do I fold? Do I call?
These decisions have cost me $100's and 100's both ways folds and calls.
    ^%#^#%$#^%$@$@#!!!!!!!!

    Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed)

    UTG+1 ($104.91)
    UTG+2 ($259)
    MP1 ($156.9)
    MP2 ($86.2)
    scgolfer ($228.2)
    CO ($157.25)
    Button ($142.15)
    SB ($272.7)
    BB ($82)
    UTG ($128)

Preflop: scgolfer is MP3 with J, J. SB posts a blind of $1.
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 calls $2, MP1 raises to $5, scgolfer calls $5, CO folds, Button folds, SB (poster) folds, BB calls $3, UTG+2 calls $3.

    Flop: ($21) T, K, J (5 players)
    BB checks, UTG+2 checks, MP1 checks, scgolfer bets $45, BB folds, UTG+2 raises to $90, MP1 folds, scgolfer raises to $135, UTG+2 calls $164 (All-In), ????

Third time this month I have flopped Jacks into an ugly board, cant give free cards, all kind of possiblilties from Lagg's two pair, AK, Draws.

I am going to stop playing for a bit, down a $1000 seeing 13% of flops raising 7% of the time. Losing $$ this month with the following hands AKo, AQs, AQo, QQ, even with KK, yes even, down $390 with JJ thru 5000 hands. I dont know what to do? I'm losing it.
Holy crap I cant play against Yoda!!

Sweet merciful crap, you get faced with a lot of tough descisions golfer.

A big part of this descision is if you think there's any chance of him making this play with 2 pair hands. The pre-flop raise wasn't big, so it just might be possible if he's at all loose to have seen the flop with JTs, KJo/KJs/KTs. If so, would he play a 2 pair hand this hard with this board? If yes, you have to call. If no, we have a tougher descision. AQ is a hand that makes perfect sense for him to have, and you're beaten by this (although you have outs). KK is possible, but unlikely. If he has KK he limped it and didn't re-raise, so KK is almost safe to rule out. Unfortunately so is AA (which you beat). TT also makes perfect sense for him to have considering the pre-flop action. AQ is about 16:3 more likely for him to have than TT. Not good.

So in conclusion, you need to figure out if he'd play KJ/KT/JT or even AK this hard with this flop. If he would play those that hard, it's a call. If he'd only play KJ that hard and not the other 2 pair hands, it's really borderline (but I think still a call) since it's about 16:12 that it's AQ vs. TT/KJ but you have money in there and outs vs. AQ. If he wouldn't make this play with only 2 pair I think it's a crying fold.

I've never laid down a set before seeing the river card. I wouldn't start here...

Gotta play this one like that. You'll definitely win these more often than not. Even if they have a straight you have about the same chance to win as a flush draw normally would, and rarely will they have the KK leaving you drawing near dead. You dominate everything else.

Seems most people think this a straight forward call, and I suppose it is pretty darn likely that the other guy would be capable of making this play with something like KJ (which makes this a call). There's not many Party Poker players capable of getting away from top two pair vs. that flop even faced with your re-raise. I overanylized

this is a no brainer, i would flat call in this situation, if he has the straight that still leaves you about 7 outs to beat him, so your ok. Now, the only thing to orry about in this situation is KK, but if you analyze his preflop play, its really unlikely, so to sum things up, i will always make that call in this situation

This hurts me. I don't envy you having to play this hand.

This is probably going to be unpopular, but what about a reraise preflop? If he has KK or AA, you may end up looking at an all-in at that point, in which case you're safe to fold. If he just calls, you have a little more information on the flop.

Once that flop comes up, I think you have to make your decision after the reraise whether to push or fold. As has been said, even if you are staring down AQ, you have a good 7 clean outs. I just don't see that he'd have KK in this situation. Either way, you are going to the river.

Did you post the results of this one? I think he had AQ.

maybe, maybe not. in the party $25 NL game, i've been pushed all-in preflop (in response to my initial raise) by 88 on up, and KQ suited on up (and a variety of just silly hands).

golfer plays the $100 game, so maybe this move would yield more useful information (assuming the players are better at that level), but i wouldn't try this on the lower limits NL tables at party without AA, maybe KK/QQ depending on the table.

golfer, for the love of god, TAKE A BREAK!!!
i hate what i have become to escape what i hated being...
