One-on-One
Hello Everyone!
I have a kind of beginning question, then a more in depth one for anyone who is interested....
First---is 1-on-1 also called "heads up" play, or are the two different.....
Second---How do you guys feel about 1-on-1 play? Do you practice it as an art that must be mastered? Does it help in your overall play? Any success with it?
I might be bragging a little bit, but I've been doing awfully well lately with 1-on-1, both in the end of tourneys and I've been sitting in the 1-on-1 tables some. I think it's a nuance that helps with my overall play in general, and helps me to practice since the pace is so quick that I can get A LOT of hands in (like 5 to every table hand that I am playing simultaneously).
BTW--I am still playing the PM (play money) tables as my finances are still a little hectic, but by playing tourneys and 1-on-1 more intensly than the play money rings, I feel I am getting a little more quality practice then on the maniac PM rings. I have done very well the last few days after a week of crappy play and luck.
I guess that's it for now.....Thanks in advance to anyone who responds, and I hope my messages find everyone in good circumstances!
