1) Sign-up for an account with Fantasy Poker Challenge
2) Under "Select Players", fill your personal queue with your favorite players. Your personal queue alterations will remain active for all tournaments. Use your allotted Fantasy Dollars to purchase players for your fantasy team by selecting them from the queue. Each team must consist of 4 players. Make changes to your fantasy team until the cut-off time (1 hour before the start of the designated tournament).
3) After Day 1 tournament play is complete, you will be able to modify your team again. New player values will be assigned based on chip count. You will have the option to Cash-in players and purchase new players based on the new values. Your original players may have more or less value after Day 1 play based on their respective chip counts. If a purchased player did not participate in the tournament, then the player value will remain unchanged; this means that you can purchase a player at the end of day one, with his newly assigned value. Make changes to your fantasy team until the Day 2 cut-off time (1 hour before the start of Day 2 play). Note: Players that were knocked out on day 1 will not be available as a selection at the end of day 1.
Sample Scenario 1: You purchase Phil Ivey for 7,000 fantasy dollars. After the first day of the tournament, Phil is on fire. His adjusted value is now 14,000 fantasy dollars. You now have the option of cashing-in Phil and using the fantasy dollars to purchase new players, or holding on to him.
Sample Scenario 2: You purchase Phil Ivey for 7,000 fantasy dollars. Phil is the victim of a bad beat, and is knocked out before the end of the first day. Phil is now a locked player selection for you. You will receive the respective finishing points.
Sample Scenario 3: You purchase Phil Ivey for 7,000 fantasy dollars. Phil decides to pass on the tournament and does not play. After the first day of the tournament, you can cash Phil in for the original purchase price of 7,000 fantasy dollars, and purchase a new player.
4) Points are awarded based on finishing position. Players only earn points if they finish in the money. The formula for calculating points is as follows:
100 x ((TOTAL MONEY PLACES + 1) - FINISHING POSITION) / TOTAL MONEY POSITIONS
For example, if the top 10 places are in the money, and a player finishes 2nd, then points earned would be: 100 x ((10 + 1) - 2) / 10 = 90 points.
5) The Fantasy Team with the most points will be the Grand Prize Winner. In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided by the highest placed finisher on their team. If both teams have the same highest finisher, they move to the next highest finisher; this continues until a winner is decided. If a tie consists of two fantasy teams with the exact same players, the winner will be the first person to have submitted the winning entry.
