New and saying hi

I just wanted to say say hi. I've been reading the forum for a couple of months and I figured I might as well start posting.

I can't remember how I got into poker, but the wife got me Phil Gordon's book; and that's when I decided to take it seriously. I'm now in the middle of a Sklansky book.

Right now I am playing NL SNGs at pp.net, and while I'm learning to play well (disciplined and patient); I hate the fact that so many people will PLAY ANYTHING. I know people are there just to have a good time; but it sometimes gets frustrating.

I'd play at a real money site, but I'm in between jobs and don't have the money to lose. Once I land that job, I'm thinking of Empire. But I haven't totally made up my mind.

I prefer NL, and I really like tournaments and SNGs.

I'm sure you'll start to see some questions in the beginner's area.
