It was horrible. They were skinning them alive. They would like cut them at the paws, and rip their skin off while they were alive. If they tried to move they were beaten with sticks or kicked in the face. They were ripping and tearing the flesh off of them. Afterwards they were still alive, but just little balls of bleeding flesh(still alive). I couldnt believe it. They would grab them by the tail and smash them into the ground... If you really want a link i can post it later...

PETA (People for the Eating of Tasty Animals) is a wonderful organization. I've got quite a few good recipes from their website...

That was pretty disturbing. That part w/ the racoon after they skinned it. [/Shudders]. They could at least kill the animals first. |

I guess they'd be happier if we ate the animals with the skins on...like baked potatoes?

They could at least show them a bit of decency and kill the animals beforehand as opposed to skinning them alive... or AT THE VERY LEAST kill them after they've skinned them! as opposed to leaving them there to suffer and die slowly.

I usualy make it a policy to stay out of these type of conversations, but I'll make an exception here.

I'm betting that those sick ***ks are the exception not the rule. Anyone who cant at least give the animal a decent death should be hogtied and stabbed with an icepick so that slowly bleed to death. |

I think food animals are regulated by the FDA. cows and chickens don't exactly live in club med, but they don't suffer unnessesary pain. Fur has no regulation, so anything goes. 'all animals killed painlessly' is never going to be a big selling point, because people who cared wouldn't buy fur anyway, and people who didn't care would probably start to care when they read the tag. So, i doubt the free market will solve this one.
