I had pocket aces. I was playing in a tournament setting, just one on one. Only us two left. I call big blind, and raise big knowing hes loose. He calls.
Flop is something like
7s
8h
3d
I once again raise big and he calls.
Turn,
5c
Nothing real new, and finally
Kc

Turns out he had pocket 8's, and Im crippled. Should I have known he had something big off the flop, because of his call. There was nothing real good on the table, so I thought I had it bagged.

I don't think there is much you can do with that. Unlucky. You gotta push the hell out of AA, most of the time this happens he'll be calling on a draw or with an overpair.
