Opp. appeared solid in previous hands. I put him on AK / AA / KK, since he didn't pre-flop raise every hand, nor did he call big ones.

What do you think of the flop re-raise? Too much?

I question it now (the amount), but I think it helped solidify that he had decent cards.

I probably could have gotten away with less.. That's what I'm questioning. Maybe a few things else..

I played out a hand very similar to this just a little while ago. I played it differently - raising on the flop and folding to his reraise. I'm not sure which is better...I ended up folding too, and it did cost me less...

I could have got the info. for less.. I'm kinda sure of that now. But this was like having a tracking number and delivery confirmation for it.

That's why I said I'd questioned the size of my RR. Tricky sometimes.. QQ / JJ. Sometimes I like to coast w/ 'em, but I don't want to de-value them to 33 status (dip if no trips).

his raise was so small you could have gotten more info by reraising preflop. Make it 12 to go. If he pushes, lay it down. I am guessing he did have AK. A strong reraise would have gotten him to lay it down.

How much do i want to invest? As much as i can with this advantage! I think that is such a big mistake players make by shying away from big pots with "coin flip" hands preflop. You should push this hand preflop as only two hands in the deck have you beat. Get your money in when you have the best of it..thats all you can do..cant be scared of what might happen in a coin flip situation

Bah, whatever you think man, keep pushing your coin flips in ring games without position and let me know how this works out for you. Since when is a pot big HU preflop with just a re-raise? I agree with the call preflop, but your folding this without a good read. Id raise here in limit, where I couldnt lose my entire stack or a portion of it. You have a coin flip out of position. Maybe I have a habbit of wanting to play postflop, after all 60% of the hand comes out on the flop. If the player just calls you preflop, it plays a lot differently, you see a lot of loose calls preflop, but not a lot of loose re-raises at this level of play.
