He made a mistake for not jaming you a lot harder on turn. He must have known you are on high PP and a board pairing up will destroy his 2 pair.

I figured he didn't have AK because of no preflop raise, and I also figured no 8,9 because who plays that unless its suited.. I guess thats a legitimate hand tho and I should've been more weary of it.

What are teh chances that he has a 6? especially after a raise... i thought i made the right call. I also thought he didnt have QKA pair because no re-raise preflop...

That last hand...I think the call/push was fine. I'd be more worried about AA/KK/QQ here than a 6, which isn't much of a worry at all.

Preflop, I like a larger raise with limpers in ahead of you. I feel this way about the KK hand too. Had you raised to 1.25 or 1.5, you might well have gotten the hands that ended up better than you out. I try to start with 3xbb and then raise another bb for each limper in the pot, meaning that with 2 in front, might well be betting that 1.5. This limits the field more AND extracts more on the times that you win the hand (which presumably will be more when you're raising).

It may seem like this would drive people away, but there are two answers around that: first, they may well stick around anyway; they're going to see you raising bigger than they expect much of the time you raise. That means they won't be scared when you do it, necessarily. Further, if they do, then you can start making this type of play more often, regardless of your cards.

I usually raise to 1.75 with big pairs preflop, I think with the new blind strucure you need to raise those preflop hard.

On the boat hand...your only mistake was not getting your chips in faster. Slow playing to the river makes it hard for you to make max bank.

Raising earlier might have given you a better idea as to if he had the T or not. Note this guy as a player who minbets good hands and move on...next time you now and can try to evaluate if you think your hand is better than the one he's semi-slow playing.

i only put on the hands where i have really hard decisions to make that come out wrong...

oh i moved up because i was fucking pissed at the outrageous calls people were making and catching 2 pair or a set with terrible odds on the river.. I quickly found out that doesn't change at the 50NL level

I raise 1.75 every time, unless, there is a raise in front of me and I have KK/AA (depending on read QQ) in which case I put in a massive reraise.

i actually like to raise more with j's and q's than k's and a's...

1) u get less callers
2) if u hit trips u dont get put on it
3) u can steal pots easier at flop when oercards come

but thats just me and my experience over prolly 10-20 hands
