    hey Toccata6767!

I joined Pokerstars about a month ago to play their 0.01/0.02 tables and I do say that they're quite good.

You can take your time and the play isn't 'in your face.' There are a few regulars you might want to watch out for but thats about it.

As vqchuang said there are plenty of games going any time of the day or night.

$50 minimum deposit though if you're interested. Believe me though, it will last 'forver' as long as you don't get too excited at the micro limits. I'm still going strong after a month of solid play.

pokerstars .01/.02 was my first online poker experience and I recommend it for someone wanting to get their feet wet. After playing that, you can move up to the .05/.10 games. The great thing about the nickel/dime games at PokerStars - no rake.

After you get up to .25/.50, you might want to go elsewhere as the quarter players at PokerStars are actually pretty decent.

Another site with microlimit games is Ultimate Bet. I played there for a few months and am now on Poker Stars. Not sure which I like best. The games on Stars a bit softer but, in my opinion, the software on UB is about the slickest around. So it comes out 6 to one, half a dozen to the other.

Oh .... one thing UB does have that Stars doesn't in $1 +.10 buy in SnGs. Stars smallest is $5 +.50. So if you want to try out SnG's on the cheap UB is the place.

PokerStars, UB and Paradise all have MicroLimits.

Remember tho, that as you start to play "higher" youll want to move over to the soft games of Party (empire) or Pokerroom (BetOnBet).

Lonnie's explaination is my also experience, exactly, to the 't'. And to add, the PS nickle/dime game is relatively decent play, but you can learn and earn at the same time.

    • Start there, PS, earn $200,
      move to Pacific, earn/bonus $500,
      move to Party and on.
    I'm a know-it-all.

    No, really.
