    Default Punishing the Laggs.

This guy was a call station and a maniac... Gave me pleasure in handing him his ass even though I didn't quite get a call, but he almost did.

Why not give him another chance to bluff at it or go over the top?

That's a good point, but something told me that he would call since he is a huge call station. I could have waited to the river but I didn't want something like trips to turn into a boat without making him pay.

This doesn't look like handing him his ass. You won a hand, but he only lost $30, which he will make back pretty quick from all that dead money at the table. You can't give a maniac credit for a set just because he's betting. That level of paranoia with the nut flush at a 5max table is not profitable. As for the table talk, I'm assuming you had said similar things in a big bluff that you showed the table, and you said this to induce a call. If it was out of the blue, I'd say it is a bad move. You don't want to give him a reason to fold, especially by giving him a tell that is listed in Caro's book.
