I lost too much money but what should I have done?

I was pretty new to the table and already shown down a couple good hands. Villain seemed to be involved in too many pots and bet too much but I hadnt really seen him raise much. Can you fold to every flop raise? It looks weak. Then his 5.50 bet was shit, but I was afraid to raise it much because he called every flop bet ive thrown out so far so I had him as a calling station. And I didnt feel like folding a pretty decent pot to a weakass bet like that.

Should I have either raised it hard or folded it? It kinda seems like an obvious scared jack wanting to keep me in line looking back at it. Do you just fold on the flop?

I'd fold to his flop raise. He has the jack or an overpair, and if you have him pegged as a calling station there's just no reason to keep going with it. He raised and then called a re-raise pre-flop; he's got QJ, KJ, or AJ more than likely, maybe QQ, and he's probably not folding.

Don't call the flop raise. When he raises there it's decision time. Either reraise big or lay it down. I'm thinking fold here, a minraise is telling me that he wants to build a pot with his monster. Also note that he raised preflop.

If you're going to call the flop, you have to do it with the intention of taking the hand away from him later, like on the turn... or the river. He basically opened the door for you on both streets.

Awesome point. Where did your hyper-agg style go? Re-raise that weak ass turn bet to $25. He's gotta put on you an overpair after that. Either fold to his re-raise on the flop, or show him who's really boss.

I dunno where my style went...since Ive been playing at paradise ive really had to slow down but its really made me a lot more profitable. It seems like people are willing to call so much more over here. So, I dunno...Id like to kick it back up into gear again and still kick ass.
