trip queens folded on flop
I really need some help here.. theres an aspect of my ring game im uncertain of.. and thats what to do with trips on a flop co-ordinated for a straight and/or flush eg:
- i hold QQ and flop comes Qs,Kh,Tc > i once folded here to an allin on the flop (HeadsUp), putting him on AJ but looking back thats a typical board for someone to hit 2pair - which is exactly what he said he had. In this situation I think its ok to call an allin, probably always - id imagine its a +EV call.
Next situation:
- i hold AA and flop comes Ah, Th, 2H again i have folded here to an allin - my bro says im mad and have to pay off a flush here - but my thinking was its a -EV call for me because I only fill up 1 in 3 times and its pretty definate my op has a flush. As for going on reads, surely you'd need a very very good read that theyre a maniac raising allin on drawing hands (whereby they may be moving allin with nut flush draw - i find this unlikely)
As you can see my hand below is simular only i have trip queens.
