    Default Fresh Fish, Fresh Fish

Hello, I am have been reading on this site for about a month (the length of time I have been playing for RM online). I am originally from Parkersburg WV but am moving to South Carolina.

I read someone on here say they started out winning on a regular basis, then went down the crapper for 200 bucks, now they are building back up. That is what I am doing now. I think I am better than average, but i have an addiction to SNG's when I make much more money off of NL ring games.

I usually play at PP and PS. I like Poker Stars because i play better against better competition.

Books I have read about poker in order:

Intelligent guide to NL Holdem (ok)
    Slansky's Holdem for Advanced Players
    Harringtons Tournament Poker
    Super System

I dunno if anyone cares, but there are always intros in other forums i have been apart of.

Welcome. Your name sounds familiar; are you playing the $5's at stars? If so, maybe we've been at the same table.

Ah the book by Doyle Super System? I just ordered it a few days ago. What did you think of it?

Yes. I play most of my poker there. The competition is good to make me better, and I like the low limit games as opposed to Party Poker (where I also play sometimes). I have recently switched, though, to Omaha High. The money is easy and the $5 max buy in penny has been very profitable to my very low BR.

My picture is two guys shaking hands. I'll look for you.

Yes, I read Super System 2. Embarrasingly enough twice through while in Cancun on vacation on the beach. I really like the other sections much more than the NL section. Doyle Brunson has an allure that allows him to play the way he does. There is some great stuff in his section, but I like the others one much better. They are more technical and less illustrative of hands playing in 1953.

Yeah thats the bookI ordered the second one. It sounds very intuitive.

side note: go back edit you second post (copy it and paste it all in your previous post and delete the one above me). From there paste it in the one concerning you responce to Glival. This will fix you double posting. Most forums don't like double posts mainly though due to some avatars being to big and eventually slowing the loading time of pages.

it's annoying however to have to read what one person responded about by having to scroll down through the posts.

I would rather lose to someone playing a decent hand than someone who picks up runnner runner playing their Ax. I personnally make more money playing against better competition.

This is quickly becomming one of my pet peeves.

I've said it a million times, you're better at taking your money from a different kind of bad player. Not a better one. A better player would take your money, that's simple definition.

You're inability to adapt to certain types of bad players is a reflection on your ability.

Your winrate could be higher against the shitty opposition if you took steps to make it so. But your money would probably come more steadily from the guys who "know when to fold."
