Default Argh, stupid set of kings.

Not sure if I could have played this hand too much better, my standard bets are 2/3 pot, but now I'm thinking I should have just pushed on the flop. The guy may have still called anyway, but this hand makes me cry :P

Eh, you got your money in when you had the best of it. In the long run this is a money making hand for you. I would have bet at least the size of the pot on the flop though, still AI on the turn.

    Agreed.

You might be committed to the hand no matter what though, as betting the pot is just under half your stack, and people often push with flush draws, especially the nuts.

And then there's the hands like this where I end up clearly the underdog, don't want to give up the lead, etc, etc. I've been on a week and a half downswing, it sucks. I had a good thing going, was doubling up every 5 days for a month, from $20 to %550, now down to $380. Not my week I guess. I also tried playing some 6max super agressive, which I think is effecting my normal Kleptic guided play. I also used to be a lot more passive. Lots more. Thing is, now that I have Poker Edge, I see how many people are passive post flop, I try to be aggy and it just... meh :P

Was doing so well, now I just feel in a slump. I know the players aren't getting better. Before I was a large stack, I was buying in at UB for $2, when I got to $75, I went to empire / party and bought in short til I got it up there. Tried buying in short at a higher stakes game and I just don't like that anymore :P Feel like I have no room to maneuver.

Just in a funk I guess.

I don't like your play here. You should've re-raised more to isolate the raiser and definitely should've not called the last $0.35. KK is a very strong hand preflop but it suddenly doesn't look so good anymore in an A high flop. You have to be more aggressive when it still looks good, you're a dog only against rockets.

I should have re-raised after the guy goes all in for the remaining 35 cents? Maybe if I did, the other guy woulda folded and I'd only be out the $3, heh

you definitely should have pushed after the reraise preflop and 2 callers.. i dont get why you are OK w/ seeing the flop with KK with that many people.

Three words with KK: isolate, isolate, isolate. If you get two callers, it's almost certain that one of them has an A, and you don't want that.

You've got MP1 and the BB, one of which is probably feeling comitted. Chances are one of them will call you if you push or at least make it $12. I wouldn't be surprised if you made one of them push in response to that. If they both push and you lose the hand... well, you got your money in when you had the best of it.

I don't think he can reraise there. The raise of the SB wasn't the same amount as the initial raise, therefore unless someone else reraises, the original raiser can only call.

    Unless that's just at Party.

Now that you mention that, yeah, I remember it happening that way. I was going to reraise but I couldn't.

definitely happens at party, probably most live places, and probably most other online places too. i think it doesn't happen at prima though, but i'm not 100%.

and, the problem is you should've raised from 1.50 to 4-5 dollars instead of 2.75. then the short stack is irrelevant. and, once the ace came, i wouldn't have bet so strongly on the flop. if he doesn't have the ace he'll fold to 7 as easily as to 10. after getting called there don't push the turn. he has you beat and is a dumb calling station, you're throwing your money in the shitter.

Nothing you can do about that. In my opinion it was a bad call by them preflop and he got lucky. Don't worry too much about that kind of beat cause your play is a +EV one on the long run.

    I love this game
