    Default River play

No reads, not really paying attention, but the table was pretty weak and likes to call. Is this a bad river bet?

Not really. The board never became dangerous and you had no real reason to ever think he was ahead of you. I think I'm donating all that money to him, too. Look at it another way - if you check the river is he going all in? Absolutely he is. And are you calling him? Absolutely you are. So it really makes no difference whatsoever. The only way I can see saving money here would be to maybe bet less - $20 is a logical river bet and he might be merciful and just call, since he doesn't know exactly what you are holding.

With the way he played this, he can count himself lucky that you didn't catch a king, five, or the case ace by the river. That's a very dangerous approach to a lower set when he knows you probably have the ace.

whether you made the all in bet or he did on the river is the only question, because it was most definitely coming either way. i double him up there too and, honestly, congratulate him on beating me with that hand without sucking out on the river.
In answer to your question... it depends...

Thanks dale that makes me feel better about the hand - it was lookin pretty good and I thought I was value betting a fish. I cant blame him for slowplaying it - I might do the same heads up but you're right.

It doesn't really matter what you bet on the river. He is going to raise and you are getting all your chips in. You are just supposed to lose this hand.
