My word ain't the holy grail but anyway,

    1) Fold prefolp. If not, fold to his raise on the flop. He has high pp you have nothing.

    2) raise bigger preflop, more like 4x or 5x. Don't check to flop, theres a flush draw there, bet hard, pot size. It's too dangerous to slowplay.

1: I think you got pocket paired. AKs out of position, I just call that 10BB raise and check/fold the completely missed flop.

2: I like the play, he just got lucky.

    himself fucker.
    1. If you commit that much of your stack preflop, you've gotta go AI reguardless on the flop. So looks g00t. I dunno anything about the opposition, but I'm sure they're dumb enough to raise weaker than AA and KK only.

    2. Um... LOL small raise from the BB ARE YOU MAD?! Your position is the worst. I make it .5 atleast. Especially at these tables, my motivation is to commit as much money as i can on this street. And my normal raises are always 4xbb, 3xbb is too small for any hand.

    1. That is an ENORMOUS PFR for AK in .5/.10. I think .40 or .50 to go is the usual for hand like that. You may even want to do .30 from early position. Your bet looks like you have TT or JJ and you will probably only get called QQ or better.

In think case, I think he must have KK or AA - but its still .5/.10 so he could have anything.

    2. Raise it to .40 PF. Raise it to $1.20 on the flop. If he calls the flop bet, check and call/fold. He has you beat.

On the first hand i see what your saying, normally i would think the guy who raised 10x the bb would have AA or KK, but a few hands before he folded a hand on the river on an undangerous board after doing the same thing. So I decided to raise to see where I was at hoping he'd fold with other than KK or AA, and raise with those.

When he called i thought at best he had QQ, when the flop completely missed i figured i'll take a stab atworst i have 2 over cards and at best he missed with AQ or AJ. When he reraised me all in i figured i was screwed, and as i thought reassured from all of you i i was pot committed so i called.

He flipped over AJo and I won the pot.

on the second hand i figured the guy would take a stab at the flop, or bet with a Q. on the turn i raised the pot, was this the right raise to get him out of the hand?

I have a friend who is relatively new to online poker and plays these limits. I coach him a lot, and it seems that there are a lot of >$1 raises pf at these tables. The raises that Dmitri suggests rarely seem to narrow the field, if that what the purpose of the raise is. I'm not sure why the pf raises are so high, maybe the players are trying to make "significant" money?
