Default Why do I do it?......Why?

Why the crap do I try and rep high PP's against fish?.....Why? They dont care...........I had tried before at this table with a 2/3 pot size bet...and it got no respect with my opp. calling me down with an underpair....

So I tried to show it for real this time by betting pot to rep a PP...geuss I just need to stop.

Also, should I just complete from SB with AK....I dont want to be against that many limpers do I?

If it was me I wouldn't even raise from the SB like that.

Maybe if I was playing with decent players, but against fish the raise is -EV imo.

You can't bluff the unbluffable. Don't try. This move might get respect at higher levels (might), but here just wait for your made hands and be glad you're at a table that will pay those hands off.
I'll be a rootin' tootin' shootin' damn fool, protectin' my chips.

Yah....I need to put a damn sticky note on my monitor telling me to stop doing it....I have lost too much damn money doing this.

But do you want a lot of callers in this hand?....If I wouldnt have raised it would have been 5 handed to the flop....and If I hit there is a better chance that TPTK is no good.....

Don't jam pots a bunch pre-flop and show them hands.

I might just build a pot a bit here pre-flop...

know thy player.. important even at these stakes - there will be many that will call cont. bets with underpairs, get a read and if so dont cont bet without goods.

Bobby, I look back at my biggest losses and most stem from bad calls on pushes and . . . you guessed it, BLUFFING. Bluffing at low limits is akin to steer roping with dental floss. I just don't do it anymore. One stab at the pot, and then let it go or at worst call it down cheap if you must know his cards.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

I think I will tattoo this on my eyelids. So true. No respect given.

(insert rant about low-stakes people getting lucky even when you do have the goods)

All good replies, so with AK the agreement at these stakes is limp in EP...and juice the pot a bit with MP-LP...then if you miss muck it, and if you hit make sure you aint beat with TPTK?

Everybody does it. We ALL do it. I just did it and I want to do it again.

Couldn't resist the Mel Brooks quote...

But serious at .5/.10 you gotta play them for what they are: beginners. These guys don't understand pot odds or reads yet so don't try the poker-judo on them. Just play them straight and make 'em pay for cards.
