I was thinking this was a good lay down, then i started replaying hand I think I should have checked the turn, then bet the river if he checked me on the turn, Or do you think he hit his Ace or had a pair or just figured i missed the flop?

I knew 99's aint that strong from early pos or from when ever so i did not want to get to involved. I c your point now tho, i do this to often, I need to ask that question before i mak e the raise.
