Can i bet here or is it simply just a check and give it up? I was tempted to check raise him all in and rep an overpair or jack. Thinking of the previous hand i'd think he would have gambOOl-ed anyway and i had 6 live outs i guess.

This guy had nothing made i was certain of that. I was surprised he turned over as good a hand as he did no matter the price.
He was on 'no-cards tilt' after i'd done him for a couplla buy ins which i then donated to a straight flush. so should i have called or do i muck it and wait until its not probably a coin flip? (lucky sob too)

    Hand #1
I play the same, he came out weak on the flop and after that you are pretty commited to the pot, no point folding. Good read.

    Hand #2
If you want to try and bluff him out I'd suggest betting outright as opposed to check/raising him as it saves you chips and he won't feel that "he's already got HIS chips in the middle and he's got to protect them by calling your checkraise"

    Hand #3
Despite having him dominated and it being a good call, with AK I either want to see a flop and go from there or be the one pushing AI. Calling an AI with it is not going to show a profit in the long run I don't think.

#1: completely agree mith Andr3w's comment
#2: Head's up on such a ragged boards I always make a continuation bet of about 1/2 or 3/4 of the pot, that's profitable in the long run I think. Most of the time they didn't hit either and immediately give up. If they call and there's no obvious draw, proceed cautiously. The check-raise play suggested backfires I think, just like Andr3w said.
#3: I only call AIs with AK when the other one is tilting really badly, like going AI preflop every other hand. Against other unpaired hands (not dominated) you are only a 65 % - 35% fave IIRC, and a 45% dog against lower pairs, so it's not an automatic call. There are easier ways to get their money ..

    Agree with your point totally.
I was just so sure that he would turn over an ace high hand i would dominate as he was annoyed that i kept taking small pots away from him and he'd had little cards apart from when i had better ones. i was surprised he turned over such a decent hand but i still would have fancied my chances in this ituation. Normally its an auto fold but anyways...
