Default How bad was this move ?

    Hi folks,

here's a hand I played a couple of days ago. My all-in move was certainly a bit due to tilt... but how bad was it really?
I figured to have 12 outs to the nuts (flush, straight) plus possibly 3 aces... There's also the (maybe very small) possibility that his check-raise wasn't made with a much worse hand than he actually had (I've seen this move made with small pairs on these limits). What do you think ?

Your flop continuation bet is a semi bluff in this case because you have a sh*tload of outs, against a min raise your aces might even be clean outs in addition to flush/strait opportunities. You may have folding equity with an over the top all in here, but do you really want him to fold? If he folds you take down a 12$ pot, but if you just call and make your hand, you could be playing for stacks if he has a set or over pair and is loose.

His min raise gives you really good odds to draw.

Its a coinflip. If he ever folds here its a profitable move. The fact that he holds 2 kings here is unlucky as its takes away a straight and flush out.

If you say tilt i think therefore you were a little risky going all in but id have called to see a turn and hopefully got to see a river. I doubt i'd commit my stack without a hand here.
I'd make his move on that board but you do have a lotta outs like... loads.

You suggest to call here. What happens next? If I hit, it's all fine... and possibly very profitable, but it's not sure that he will lose his whole stack. But If I don't hit, I'll have to let the hand go, because I don't get the odds with just one card to come. So compared to smooth-calling, I actually prefer my all-in move. I'd say either fold to the raise on the flop or move in like I did.
Easiest of course would have been to simply take the free card on the flop and avoid all tricky decisions...

A similar hand was posted here for discussion. You may want to check it out.

I dont like this play but I respect it. Personally I will never put all my chips in with an unmade hand against an OP who has me covered. (unless im short stacked or pot committed.) But, at least you were the bettor, and not the caller. He would of put you all in or virtually all in on the turn prob anyway when the board dodged the 3rd spade. If you would of called for all or most of your chips to see if the river made your flush or Aces, then you made the right play. Did he take a while to call? I think I probably would of had a difficult time calling here if I were him.

BTW...nice carpet dude, it really ties the room together...
