I'd re raise pre flop, which probably would have allowed a push on the flop. Certainly you need to put a real bet in on the flop, he can't fold anything for 150 more.

AA maybe you look to slow play against a lag, but QQ too risky I think, you have to lay down to an over on the flop, since he could (clearly based on this hand!) have been raising with any A or K. Make him pay to draw at you.

UTG, makes it 3xBB, and you are in cutoff with QQ and you called. Were you hoping for a re-raise behind you so you could push? Holding AA, KK, and QQ, I'm praying someone will raise first. You can make it 270 to go, and isolate the raiser. Early on in any SnG people are stupid.. if you have a legitimate hand that can withstand most flops.. you need to kick them in the balls to make them aware they shouldn't be drawing.

I imagine this guy would call pf, and then check/fold the flop to you.

On the flop there is $300 in the pot, he makes the continuation bet of $150.. and you should punch him in the junk with $450. Are you trying to string him along here with what you think is the best hand? It seem like you want him to call on a flop with a straight and a flush draw. His call on your raise is $150 for a $750 pot. Overpair are never invincible, and fish will call with anything to draw early on.

Good bet on the turn... Were you confident you had the best hand on the river? I'm curious why you bet $425 after $450 on the turn?

I'll tell you what happened....I was pretty sure i had the best hand until his call on the turn...then I started to doubt, thinking maybe he was slo playing trips or something, either that or on a draw (which turned out to be the case). the bet on the river was weak i think, i was starting to get nervous.......

    He had a pair.

I say check behind becuase he said he read that his opponent might have a set or been on a draw.

If that's the case, why bet the river? So a better hand can get your money and a worse can fold? And so one hand can make a really bad call?

Your river bet was meaningless. When you think someone has A/B then act on it. That's how you get better, make reads and act on them until they start to stick.

I was kidding around. The reason rilla wants a check here ( I think) is that:

AT probably doesn't check the turn after betting the flop, so it's tough to give him that. So his next most likely hand is a flush draw, which missed and is not paying you off. But the draw might decide to get cute and move in, which puts you to a tough choice... is it a set, did he maybe have a 9 and fell into trips? 87 and making a bad chase at a str8 with a flush draw out?

Generally you will not get paid off on the river bet. As you said, his call here with the ace is bad, and you're unlikely to see it again. if you're called here, you're beat.
