Looks like he either has QQ or AK to me. That $3 flop bet was very odd though.

He knows you're never going to fold to that 3$ bet. He put you on AK or AQ by the preflop call. So he either had AA or KK and wants to look weak so you reraise him.

Why did you call the flop bet? A raise would give some information.

edit: To answer your question: a fold on the turn seems appropriate. But maybe he's really passive and you can call down to turn and river.

The guy raised 15x the BB, so he is representing a strong hand preflop.

The postflop bet looks strange to me. You could put him on QQ since he's showing you a weak holding on the flop with three bucks. He might be getting cute with AA or KK though, so you can't be sure

The turn bet could mean that he's afraid of a straight, or he could be representing the straight. If this guy is better than a chimp, he wouldn't represent a straight here since he raised so much preflop. That leads me to believe that he made his hand on the flop and is raising this much to take down the pot before he gets slapped with what might be a scare card on the river.

OK, ok...sorry for rambling so much. If you call, you're in big trouble, if you raise, you're in an iffy situation. Maybe if I had some reads on him from previous hands I could make a better decision, but I would fold with just this information given to me.

Keep in mind that a flop raise would have probably helped you out a ton.

by the turn its more expensive to get the information u needed on flop... raise pot on flop and if he calls you are beat, end of hand he has AA or KK -- i guess its also possible for him to have AK but i doubt taht by his flop bet, it looks like a weak attempt at looking weak to me .

I don't really think I need to raise for information when I have position on him. I think his action on the turn after being called should still give me the same information.

Anyways, I called on the turn out of stubbornness, but I think I should've folded.

    Default Fold preflop

    Why not fold preflop?

I you get him cred for a big pocket pair when he reraises you you should either push or fold preflop. I the flop hits you and he has a underpair (QQ), he won't pay you. If you call and hit a K and he has AA, you pay. If you hit either A or K and he has AA or KK, you pay. The only way you're getting paid is if you hit a straight and he hits trips, and you do NOT have the odds for that kind of gambling preflop.
