    No...

Sorry, I guess you wanted more than that.

Only 3 hands you have to be worried about: KK,QQ,22. Given that 3 people limped in front of him I would expect him to have raised with KK or QQ. That leaves only one hand that can beat you, 22. If someone rivers quads in a situtation like this you're just going to have to pay them off.

    25/50's f'in hard!
Why no reraise on the flop? Why no raise on the turn? You could have gotten him all-in on the turn with him drawing to 1 out. Instead you played your set passively and if he hadnt hit his 1 outer you would have only gotten a third of his stack when you should have gotten the whole thing. Sets over sets in your favor should always involve you taking all the opp's money. Every time.

You cant fold and thats that.

That said, I would reraise the turn. Calling and then checking that river is a strange play imo.

You have to make a big move on the turn here in my opinion, if not you might want to consider reraising the reraise on the flop.

Even so, the opponent is going to fold anywhere on this hand, you are destined to lose a buyin.

(By the way, you never ever ever fold the river, you have to pay it off).

Usually I play sets aggresively, but lately I haven't been getting paid off with them. I didn't reraise the flop because I put him on a hand like KQ, AQ, or QJ. Possibly a flush draw or 22. I thought that if I reraised the flop he would fold everything but 22. So I was hoping that he would catch two pair on a later street. I was planning on check raising all-in after the river, but his overbet really threw me off.

Even if I reraised him on the turn, he is still going to call, and I am going to lose my stack.

That is so completely not the point. This way you get your money in ahead. Don't think in a results oriented way.

    Throw down on the turn.

If I have a set and somebody is showing strength like that I am pushing everything I have at them and getting paid off.

Unless they hit quads. Then I pay them off. So goes it.
