    himself fucker.
Chances seem good that he hits that ace, take his monies.

If you smoothcall, I really don't see a good plan for the river.

Yeah just raise him, if he has like tt-kk you prolly wont get much more out of him by smooth calling anyways. I make it 160 and then depending on how high his is on the calling station scale i push or value bet the river.

Yeah. I raised hoping he flopped a set or hit aces up on the turn.

    You so silly.
I don't like the check raise. I think you should continue to lead the turn.
You raised UTG, and checkraised an A on the turn. This shows way too much strength. Very few hands can call you here, where a lot of hands can raise or at least call when you bet the turn.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

Well, you have to show strength to get money in the pot usually.

I get more money in the pot by check-raising on the turn than I do by leading out. He's going to bet with a very wide range of hands if I check, many of which wouldn't even call a bet. It looks as though I was bluffing the flop, or have a hand like J-J or Q-Q and am afraid of the ace, so he might value bet a pretty wide range of hands, or try to bluff.
