    Default Wrong move here?

Final table, 7 players left, so everybody is ITM. Everybody has been calling the big blind, very little preflop raising.

Was I wrong to raise here? Was I then wrong to call?

    Default .

With a stack at around 10BB, you are basically in push/fold territory. Very annoying UTG hand in this situation, I'd defer to a better player on whether to push it. Minraises are not an option. And in a situation where you're reraised here, you are almost certainly in a race at best. I'd lay it down to the reraise every time.

yeah this is a bad spot. Push probably only called by AQ AK and bigger pairs, maybe a 66. but raising then folding is tough. folding is OK but sorta painful

as played I agree it's a clear fold, min raising then calling them off is no good.

I lean to the open push. but 3x raise may look stronger here.

the fact that most pots were limped at the FT, franky, says that fish were playing. Usually you forget what flops look like this late.

If you've been bossing the table around, a raise is better because more hands you beat and maybe a few you dominate come into the mix.

If oyu haven't been dominating a table no one is raising at with that stack... you should be :P

I guess my reasoning is that everybody is simply calling the big blind. I've been the only once raising PF with strong hands, except for the large stack, but he's been playing fairly tight.

I figured with 88, it's a coin flip, unless there is a bigger pocket pair, but I got caught. Anyway, 7th place. That's a smooth 2.50! Yes!

1- 10xBB isnt push/fold territory when there's people in worse shape than you and everyone is very close in chips

2- If everyone is limping and suddenly there's this much PF action you should back off

3- The BEST you're hoping for is a coin flip, which you don't need to take, there are other players still here who could blow up easily and push you 3 or 4 places up ITM (which may be big difference in payout)

All that said, I'd probably make the same mistake and call, cause with the extra chips you'd be a favourite for finishing first.
