    Played terribly I think.

    1) Raise preflop for loads of reasons.
    2) If you fail to raise then at least fold to the huge raise by the button. This is a really strong raise and IMO indicates real strength. This guy had AA and is looking to thin the field.
    3) You then check/call all-in on the flop with nothing but A high! Exactly what do you hope to accomplish by doing this?

    Jay,

What hand did you put the button on?

Granted, pre flop was bad, should have raised. That raise by the button I put as a steal. He was short stacked. I figured any pair or 2 broadways. He insta pushed the flop. I put him on a steal

He's not really shortstacked, only down 1/5 of his starting stack...

To me that raise says JJ+ from someone who knows they can't let go of a premium pocket pair even if overs hit the board.

I don't mind limping AQo sometimes but I certainly don't call his raise.

Don't call AIs with air. Your draw is NOT that strong and being AI means you can't fold him out with aggression.
You have 6 outs to a pair but I am not sure one pair will win. He may hold AA, KK. If he holds AA 3 of your outs are dirty. Fold.
    Stakes: Playing $0.10/$0.25 NL
