I have $150 and my opponent covers.

I have 9 9 in the SB. Folded to me and I make it $3. sTAgg in the BB makes it $5. I call

Flop is
K:club J 6

I check, he bets $10 I fold.

Same game. folded to me and I raise it up to $3 with A 4 on the button. Opponent makes it $5 from the SB. I call.

Flop is 3 cards the miss me horribly and I fold to a $12 bet.

Thoughts?

I hate blind wars in NL games.

They're freakin' expensive when you miss or run into a hand. Plus I'm not very good at them. I would trust your opinion far more than most of ours...you've seen a ton of them in your limit adventures.

Anyway, both of those are flop folds IMO.

I don't like raising the A4 out of position like that but if you know that the tagg is willing to bullshit you (with silly min-raises) then i often like to call (although maybe not odd overbets) and lead the turn for 2/3's the pot, a check raise can get nasty, and people often just auto raise when you lead out on the flop, which also gets nasty.

He raised A4s on the button, so he is in position. In the first hand it seems like a standard play and there's nothing you can really do there. Same with the second hand. Occasionaly if my image is pretty solid I will reraise a flop bet after I raised pre-flop. It shows a lot of strength and often times causes the other guy to fold to the pressure. I also occasionally will check raise if I'm out of position and I raised pre-flop.

At least you know that you can check your monsters to him and let him do the betting for you. Other then that, agressive players on your left suck.

Both of these hands are clear folds. If he is consantly throwing money in the pot but will fold a hand when he meets resistance, throw in a raise. Cards don't really matter at that point.

If he is a maniac.. well.. wait for a real hand and bust him.
