Ok a note about this flop call above. I realise I'm not getting immediate odds but I am pretty sure Virgilace and cin77 will simply call this raise. I think Virgilace's bet was a blocking bet and he's pretty passive so he's not going to reraise. cin77 called the first bet with much of nothing but good pot odds. Also if I figure EarlLambie for trip 7's I have good implied odds. Based on all this I call and end up going to the turn getting propper pot odds.

I know I messed up here. I didn't realise that Virgilace had only $17 left on the turn. I called the 15$ raise not noticing that EarlLambie would have the chance again. Silly mistake I know Now I know EarlLambie has at least a strong 7. I feel I really made a mess of the rest of this.

The action on the flop suggests that the set/trips is being defended. After that i think your calling all the way and getting stacked if someone filled up flopped the house.

Think I might have to fold that flop. Your out of position reducing the money you make if you hit, its highly likely that some of your outs are tainted and you could even be drawing dead which I think counters any implied odds you may have.

As played I think the rest is fine, I'd call that river.

Yep, I fold the flop most of the time. Like finky said, it is possible you are drawing dead already, and if you aren't you cannot assume you have 8 clean outs. 2 of those outs are spades, and if villian has a hand like 7T or 75, then hitting a ten or five would be the end of you. With position, I might not be so quick to fold, but chasing draws out of position gets very ugly if you miss on the turn, and even if you hit it, you can't be entirely confident your hand is good since the board was paired to begin with.

i dont like using implied odds like this when im not drawing to the nuts. As it went i think you have to call the river but i fold the flop.

if you've noticed the tables so tight, why not move tables, why play at a tight one if more looser ones are available?

Looks like I need to start taking account of dead outs when I'm drawing at hands. Something I haven't really been doing, I'll start now.

And SinkRox I didn't really have a choice, where I play is a pretty small site and there was only 3 100nl tables available at the time and they were all pretty tight. Usually the place is vary loose, dunno what was up.
