F the Table Sherrif
We all know about the table sherrif who calls every time you raise and doesn't give your bets/raises any respect. Well this situation made itself clear to me that this guy was the nut-swinger, so I played accordingly. The second hand basically sets up the third, and the first hand is just another interesting hand I wanted to share.

This is one of the first hands I played. I had played one pot before this where I made a raise and a cont. bet, got min raised then i had to fold. On this hand I just called with AQ out of the blinds, and the flop came perfectly giving me TPGK with the second nut flush draw. I almost always check to the bettor whether I hit or miss, and I checked to him. When he bet I made a decent sized raise which he called fairly quickly, which often indicates a draw. Now the turn card is the best card in the deck, giving me the nuts and just as importantly it gave the perfect scare card for my opponent to bluff with. To him it looks like I flopped top pair or two pair and was scared of the four flush on the board, so I checked figuring him to try and steal it. It worked and I was up early. This hand kind of set the tone for the session. The two hands below were the most important of the session in my opinion.

Here in this hand I made my usual positional raise with an ace, basically trying to pick up the dead money from the guy who posted his blinds OOP. Unfortunately the button called and I was OOP. The flop was pretty raggedy with two low cards and a jack, but I fired at it anyways because I fire with or without a hand so they can't get much of a read. He called which didn't surprise me, but my image at this table wasn't great at all, so I could still be ahead here, but obviously I'm not betting for value here. The turn was another low card and I wanted to show some strength and fired another bullet into the pot hoping he'd lay down right there. Unfortunately he called, and the ace of hearts hit the board. I didn't read him for a flush draw since the ace of hearts hit the board, I think it was more likely that he had a medium PP or something, but I didn't bet because no better hands call but worse hands will bet, so I checked it to him. He made a sizeable bet into the pot, and I really was pretty confident in my hand. I took probably as long as they could let me before I finally called and I was pleased to see I was right. If I bet there he folds and I don't make any more money on the hand, but by checking I give him the chance to bluff it. As you can see, he was in the pot the entire time on a planned bluff, one that almost worked.

This hand is really interesting in a lot of different ways, this was my last hand of the session as I had planned to sit out when the blinds hit me again. I picked up a solid ATs which is a hand I'll play 6 handed. I made my standard raise and the table sherrif called and we took a flop. The flop was pretty juicy for me, giving me two overcards and the nut flush draw. I took a stab at the pot hoping to win it there, but if not then I had outs. He called after a slight hesitation and the turn card brought me a gutshot straight draw, giving me even more outs in the deck. I made a larger bet on fourth street and again he called, the river brought a runner runner heart flush, and I checked it to him knowing that he would probably bet regaurdless. He made a bet that certainly didn't look designed for a call, and the only thing I could beat is a stone cold bluff, but I had represented a big hand to this point and felt he was weak and making another play at me. I could just call here, but if he has something like 77 or maybe AJ I would lose the showdown. I decided to make a big raise that would put him all in, and he had about 21 more behind, and I don't think he wanted to play his hand for stacks. It ended up working, but it's definitely not a play I often make, but I had a pretty good read and went with it.
