What would be the point?? He only needs as much money there to have the biggest stack, which would require about 12K at absolute max.. Unless he's just doing it to get a kick out of having that much cash at the table... I would've thought someone like him has got over the whole "wow, look at all this money"

it's usually like 10K in rebuys max and the rest is profit, that's what hall says

just realised this couldnt possibly work

start with 2K.. AI reload.. wins $4K pot, total 6K
6K.. AI reload.. wins $4k pot.. total 10 K

4k winnings, 4K reloads.. + initial 2K

now.. 10K.. AI reload.. loses 4K pot.. total remains 10K.

He has to have won atleast half of it -2K initial buyin.
therefore.. minimum winnings = $44K (assuming he left with 90)
not allowing for possible loss at the start.

He could have been pushing all in on a shortstack. If you were playing heads up against someone with maybe 20BB, you could reload loads of times. I'm sure most of it is winnings though.

That probably sounds stupid if its obvious, but when I log into Caribbean Sun my options say "All ins remaining - 0" and i don't know what that is either......so i thought i might be missing out on something?!?!

its a poker stars thing.. when you go AI it allows you to add another buyin to your stack.

I'm sure that's true, and as a 50NL player, I'm hardly equipped to judge Hallinggol's play. Still, I've seen moves and calls of his that even I can identify as "sick." Slowplaying the nut straight doesn't seem sick to me. If this really is a great, creative high-stakes play, I'm interested to hear why that is.

It maximizes his profits considering he knows a bet is coming if his OP made a hand. If he didn't make a hand he would fold to a river bet anyway. H@'s image is such that a checkraise all in could be a pure bluff, so people call him more often when he has the nuts. Low limit players just don't think enough for this to work. Also, low limit donkeys check on the river way to much to make this a smart play.

Eh, okay. Hal has a famously aggressive table image that he can exploit, and players are generally more aggressive at higher levels. I can see the difference there. Players at lower levels have no table image. I still wouldn't say it's a sick play.
