Default Snowboarding for the 2006-2007 Season.

I bought my season pass at Boreal yesterday. The conditions were really good. There was some snow on the way up and Cal Trans had a check point where they only allowed vehicles with chains or 4 wheel drive. Whenever I see people struggling with chains I am thankful that I can just press a button and be in 4 wheel drive with my truck.

I signed up 2 of my kids for the all day ski class and they did well.

Since this was my first day boarding for the season I pretty much took it easy. In fact I never really fell except getting off the lift. I didn't go goofy foot much but that will happen later this season.

There was powder everywhere and I was able to make some fresh, new tracks.

I did have a problem with my right boot but I think it was because of the socks I was wearing. Next time out I'll try wearing 2 socks on each foot for some extra padding. Luckily I didn't wear my backpack because I noticed that they were forcing people to take off packs when getting on the lift. This is a new policy because last season I wore my pack on the lifts all the time without any hassles.

Can't wait to get out there again...hopefully not long after Christmas.

I used to ski but the last 5+ years have been boarding only.

Glad to hear Whistler is getting some fresh snow. Whistler is one of my favorite spots. Not so much because of the snow but because everything is centrally located. I like spots like Whistler where you can walk to the slopes and walk back to your place from the restaurants/bars without having to worry about parking, cabs, shuttles etc.

i´m waiting for snow since the beginning of december. 10°C, sunshine, no snow. that really sucks.

gonna spend one or two weeks in the austrian alps in january, cant wait to enter the plane.

btw., has anyone experiences with flow bindings?

Hell yeah we are! I think Mt. Baker has had the most snowfall of anywhere in the country so far this season. At least they had about a week ago. I'll be up there a few days around New Years. I went to Stevens Pass on a sick powder day last week and didn't get a single run in because there were 140mph winds at the peak
