    Default Leather couch and recliner

Alright, as I've talked about in other threads, I'm in the process of moving out. I have a 1600 sq ft apartment down the street from my dad's condo.

For some reason, I've put off furniture shopping this entire time.

I have my home theatre, computer system, office, and all appliances (major ones were already there, including washer/dryer) set up. But I don't have any furniture, besides a coffee table and end table. No couch, chairs, bed, etc. The only thing I have to sit on is a foldup lawn chair.

Of the essentials, I'm looking to get a kitchen table that seats ~4, a king size bed (I have a good bedroom set I'm bringing from my dad's), a couch, recliner, and a casino-like card table sometime down the road (unless I change my mind). Probably a new leather chair for my office too as this one is getting kinda worn out.

Anyway, the place I got my home theatre also sells some pretty high-end furniture. There's a package I want for a BIG, real nice, soft leather couch and recliner for about 4.5k. Is that ridiculous on the high side? Or is that what I can expect?

I'm also looking for advice in general.. like I said, I need a bed, couch, recliner, and a kitchen table set. Those are my essentials right now. Is there anything I should be looking for or trying to avoid? This isn't something I've ever done before...

    That's definitely high.

You should be able to find a nice leather couch for about $1K and a recliner for near $500.

Average I think would be around 2.5-3k

yeah wow, seems very high. OTOH, you can't put a price on a nice comfy couch. I'd at least go sit on a couple cheaper ones and see if you can tell the difference.

I see "King for Queen' type sales pretty often, keep your eyes out.

When my wife and I started out we did a lot of those 0 % interest deals, not sure if they are still around. It's a great deal as long as you pay off within the XX months. After that they usually put something in contract that lets them pummel you with all the juice.

4.5k for a couch and recliner is crazy high. How much emphasis do you have on getting leather furniture? I went out to a furniture store ~2 weeks ago looking for a nice reclining sofa, preferrably leather. All the leather ones they had were not very comfortable and more expensive than other ones (microfibers, sorf of like suede.). Definitely sit down and feel out the other furniture before you decide on an overpriced leather one.

leather is so classy though... and it smells sooo good. Theres nothing like the smell of a leather couch. Atleast as far as couch smells go....
You-- yes, you-- you're a cunt.
