On the play, I don't really like it. You raised it up with a suited connector in MP, with 2 limpers in front of you. Just take a cheap flop when you have the odds to do so, especially in 25nl, when you will get paid off with your hands.

I think you generally want to raise 9Ts from the CO or Button (with few limpers)...at minimum you definitely want to buy the button preflop.
It also helps tremendously to know the tendencies of the 2 players to your left (CO and Button in this case) - basically, are they tight/will they fold marginal hands, and even top pair to a possible overpair when you bluff at them.

Is the Button drawing to a flush (certainly can't put that past anyone), or does he have a fairly strong hand...if he has an overpair I would expect him to raise here at least on the flop...even a set should reraise. AJ/KJ/QJ may just call and see what you do on the turn...so could a lower pair, though less frequently...certainly the flush/straight draw just smooth calls most of the time here.

So - is this a good play in general? Fold equity at 30% and you have between 15% and 25% chance of rivering him if he calls...coinflip? Not my kinda edge...

Take my thoughts with a grain of hardened feces though, as here's my version of the same type of thing...drunk to boot - oh and you did a helluva lot better job repping an overpair than I did (so I think that aspect of the hand was well played) - I just got butt lucky lol:

I won't give you the pre-flop lecture because it really doesn't matter enough IMHO once you learn how not to suck post-flop.

With a draw heavy board like this, buying it out is going to be difficult. Having 2 players in the hand behind you is further going to complicate things.

I would just call the stupid bet and see what goes down on the turn. Just because you go crazy pre-flop, doesn't mean you need to continue to go nuts post-flop when it becomes a multi-way pot on a drawing board with the loose/passives and you have a little piece of it.

Let's say that PFR costs you $.50 in the long run (and I'm being really pessimistic), you can make that mistake a lot if it induces bigger mistakes from your opponents. However, when you start letting that small mistake cascade into a big one....

What are your thoughts on hand 2, Fnord? The guy bets $1 into a $10 pot and you call... then he bets less than half the pot after you check to him on the turn. Is that a just "call and see what he does on the turn"? and fold to a 1/2 pot bet into a nothing pot?
