I think KQs in 5th position is easily good enough for this, even at a full table. Was only min reraised behind you and it's going to be a 3-way flop where you don't have the button. Overwhelmingly looks like an AA/KK that is going to the felt here. So much that the line you take here should be balanced with lines you would use here with less powerful hands. I try to get it allin by the turn though in a preflop 3-betted pot. 4 How about check/fold the turn? Or cheap showdown? That, along with any reads, makes a huge difference here. Flop, on this board, I'm probably leaning to just checking. If the table was really weak I could bet any 2 here, but I think I'm striving to see a cheap turn, and certainly don't want to play a big pot here under ANY condition, save a backdoor royal flush. On the river you only beat a bluff... I can't see a worse flush or trips going for value on a river c/r on this board. 6 Misread flop, thought it was rainbow.. Weak fold? I play 200NL full so take my advice fwiw. 1) I raise this preflop. As played, I don't mind the turn check and river call. Betting the turn is okay, but somewhat transparent. 2) I'm guessing no reads on dvdsteve here. I actually don't mind your line. dennis666 is a shorty so you can practically treat this as a heads-up pot between you and dvdsteve. If you think the implied odds are there to stack a lesser overpair then I say go for it. A 4-bet preflop is always the safe route though, but I think your line has considerably more risk but the EV is worth going for I think. I probably raise this flop though. 3) I'm guessing you were going broke on a raggedy flop, otherwise you should have folded to the 3-bet pre. I think there are a number of lines you could take to get the money in, but I like yours just fine. 4) How has the table been playing? I usually insta-muck this hand UTG. I don't like the flop 3-bet though, unless you have a good read that he minraises with a flush draw. On the turn I lead out 3/4 pot. Why CR? Were you sure he was going to bet? Also I just CR AI instead of trying to get cute. 5) Hmm. Tricky hand. I don't mind checking, but I don't mind betting this flop either. Betting $14 and having to fold is not the end of the world. As played I think it's close, but I call the river CR. He has at least a flush to make this CR, but I really wouldn't be surprised to see a boat from villian, figuring the only way he gets paid off is if you either bluff the river or bet your flush. 6) What are you afraid of on the river? Flush is possible, but doesn't seem very likely. You under-represented your hand so much that I wouldn't be surprised to be shown the lone Ad here, figuring you to be weak. I think that by taking the passive line you have to make these thin calls, at least a decent % of the time. 7) I don't mind leading the turn here for $20 or so. I think that if you call the turn then you should call the river. 8) Crying call?

Are stupid flop bets common in this game? The turn play is all about reads and what people are stacking off with. Hand 2: 3-bet pre-flop! Your post-flop position is just terrible and any line you take needs to beat just pushing right there. On the turn I think you trapped yourself. Hand 3: What's with the lack of reads??!?! Calling off another $36 here is close given the effective stack size and really depends on his 3-bet range. Post flop is fine. I might bump up the turn bet a little to make sure it all gets in by the river. Hand 4: I really don't get pre-flop, but I've already opened that discussion. 3-betting a pair in an unraised pot is curious. On the turn I would just hammer as there is a good chance he's raising on a draw, donking the turn anyway and you want all the money in. That being said, that King didn't bother him at all, I think you got stacked by a set here, but with no read and an unraised pot I really haven't a clue where you're at. Hand 5: Easy river call, he shows you trips a lot. Hand 6: Betting the flop makes this hand way easier to play. Hand 7: What'cha know about him? Given your passive image, I like a flop check. Hand 8: Funny river. Depends on the other guy. This looks a lot like he caught a gutshot on the end, so I would fold to the fearless 3-bet.

Very dangerous hand against a tight post-flop player. Really easy to stack off here. Against some donk who'll peel with big cards, I agree 100%. Also having an aggro image helps because it looks like a routine orphan flop steal. Still you're at the very bottom of the "monster" post-flop range, a very dangerous spot to be in.

Hand 1: Limping sucks in this spot, I agree. I checked the flop to induce a bluff and minimize loss against 22/33. Hand 2: This game is pretty passive preflop, I don't think I saw a 3-bet so far that wasn't AA-QQ/AK. So it was easy to put him on QQ/KK/AK and trap (3rd player in was very short, so I didn't care about him). Hand 3: I'm guessing you were going broke on a raggedy flop, otherwise you should have folded to the 3-bet pre. Definitely not. 3-bets mean AA-QQ/(AK) 90% of the time judging what I've seen so far. So I played only for the set.. Hand 4: Stupid play. I 3-bet the flop for info and didn't use it. I really think check-folding the turn is +EV, because play is generally passive enough for this to be a set. A bit results-oriented thinking maybe. Hand 6: I try to induce bluffs a lot lately, shouldn't do it on two-tone flop of course:P Hand 7: I'm pretty sure he's got at least a 7. 88/99/JJ would check behind. Hand 8: I've learned that 3-betting the river means the nuts (or close to it) in this game. I'm running 2.0 PTBB/100 over 1700 hands so far. Lots of improving to do.. I'm not that passive as it may seem btw (AF flop/turn/river 4.9/1.7/1.2)
