    Default Facing the River Check-Raise

I'm playing a solid regular HU and get dealt Q9 off a few hands in. I don't have any good reads on the guy, he seems to play well and is capable of mixing it up. I raise it up to $30 from the SB, villain calls. Flop comes 9s-6d-6c. Villain checks, I bet $40, he min-raises to $80, I call. Turn comes a 5h. Villain checks, I bet $90 into a $240 pot, villain calls. River comes a Qh. Villain checks, I bet $150 into a $420 pot. Villain check raises me AI for $550 more. Call or fold, and why? What do you think villain's most likely holdings are? What do you think of how I played the hand PF/flop/turn? Against a tighter player I may have taken a bet(call CR)-check-bet line instead of the trifecta (betting all 3 streets). I also merits to 3-betting the flop against an aggressive player.

I would have to put him on another 6 jsut not knowing anything about him but playing heads up thats the tricky part knowing your opponent. However I might have reraised his raise to see if he really had it. but once the river comes and he puts you all in almost impossible for me to lay down top two pair. again alot depends on your opponent.

Check the river. You will only likely be played with if he has a six i believe you fell into his trap here. You may get a crying call from a medium pocket pair or another 9 but if he had either of those he played the hand pretty poorly.

HU hands can't really be critiqued individually

I would usually call but its hard to say since heads up is a lot of meta-game.

I called. Villain flipped over 69 off, he had flopped a boat. His line(CR flop-check call turn-CR river) confused me and sure enough I paid him off for it. In retrospect I guess I should have played my hand slower after his suspicious flop check min-raise.

I think thats an obvious fold. hes eating through all your agression on built up from the prefop, flop, turn, and river action to come right back over the top. He obviously has to assume you have some sort of made hand, especially after your value bet on the river, and would probably not move all in without the goods. It's a bit deceptive, because the Q on the river doesnt really improve your hand that much anyway.
