my straight good here?
1-2 NL table in AC...
Preflop:
Folded around, 2 limpers to me in CO holding 9c-10c (around $250 in front of me). I raise to $10, BB calls (also around $250) and limpers both fold. I would say BB is sort of a rock, very selective pre-flop all day.
Flop: 8h-Jh-3x
BB bets $8. He hasn't made any plays that I've seen up to this point, and he called my raise out of position, so I'm thinking either a paired jack or c-betting AK, AQs. I call, with every intention of folding the next street to any bet if I don't hit my straight.
Turn: 8h-Jh-3s-7s
BB bets $15. I see this bet as pretty weak into a $40 pot, but now put him on maybe TPTK, 10s, Qs, maybe even slow playing a set (hopefully). I raise to $40. I've seen him take the lead and bet a flush draw when he first sat down, so I don't want to give him a free river. He calls
River: 8h-Jh-3s-7s-8s
BB goes all in for $190. Fuck. the spade flush hit, but I'm not totally ready to give him credit for that, just because he was agressive the whole way, before that draw even came out. I'm much more concerned that he has 33 or JJ. I think I'd probably make this call on more of a LAGG player, but this guy has been so tight, and now he wants to play for my stack. He's really not that savvy and looks like he's going to piss himself, so I fold my straight.
Should I have bet more on the turn? do you think my straight was good?
