You got the money in when you were way ahead what else do you want? This isn't the bad beat forum so don't post them.

Hero bets $2, Button raises to $4, Hero raises to $6, Button calls $2.

That line is completely wrong on so many levels.

The first hand is the one with problems.

The second hand is a bad beat and there's nothing to comment about. You're whining.

I'm a whiner also, I just put it in the appropriate forum where nobody reads it.

Both of these hands are posted in the wrong forum. Second hand belongs in the bad beat forum, first hand belongs in the limit hold'em forum.

    Hand 1 dont minraise.

    Hand 2 fold preflop.

Hand 2, he put a bad beat on you but most of the time he will destroy you with AK against AJ. AJ is right at the bottom of most peoples raising range. Alot of people wont even raise AJ at all from that position. You are almost always dominated calling that PFR so just fold it preflop. As it happens you hit a miracle flop and he played it like a muppet and got lucky.

How can you avoid getting de-stacked?

Dont call a preflop raise from a possibly tilted player with AJ offsuit out of position.

Count the money behind. Outside of balance issues, it's not that bad.

    from the big blind?

If you make this fold, you are WAY too tight.

This is much different than folding to a standard raise from EP.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

I think you played both hands just fine.

It depends whos doing the raising. Against an unknown ill usually just fold it because ive seen so many people min raise with AA. If its someone ive seen minraise a few times, or someone who just generally seems like a donk then Ill call it but I dont like AJ out of position agaist any raise with no reads at all. I feel theres too much reverse implied odds at work.

It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

I don't understand, explain please. Tiny raises and underbets are just not the way I play no-limit hold'em, but maybe I need to open my mind to a few situations where they have merit.

One situation where I sometimes use the minimum raise. I have a decent hand on the turn, I think it's the best but it's not good enough to withstand any action. A guy bets into me and I think he's full of crap, but I'm not sure. I minimum raise in position to make my hand look stronger than it is, so I can hopefully get a free showdown on the river.

This hand is from an 11+rebuys tournament, stacks are deep enough that it plays like a cash game at this point. The guy just folded, I was expecting him to call and check the river and I was going to check behind.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (9 handed)

    CO (t11290)
    Hero (t19810)
    SB (t9090)
    BB (t9865)

Preflop: Hero is Button with K, T.
6 folds, Hero raises to t300, SB folds, BB calls.

    Flop:(t650) 7, T, J (2 players)
    BB checks, Hero checks.

    Turn:(t650) 2 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets t400, BB raises to t1000, Hero raises to t1600, BB folds.

    Final Pot: t2650
