Default Bottom Set at $25NL with Position

Im currently playing over at Absolute trying to clear a bonus, but more importantly practicing cash game play. Im currently following my modified version of AOK's 19 starting hands where I play a a few extra hands in position, etc. Anyways, I think I played this hand pretty well but Im not sure if I left any out any value. Im not too worried about this flop, but I dont want to get into any trouble by playing bottom set too slow. Should I have bet more here? Turn brings an ace, I get check min raised, and I have no reads on this player as they just were moved here. I think that they could have hit their ace but a higher set is also a possibility so instead of reraising I call. What do you think here? The river I cannot imagine that I should be betting as there is a 4 card straight [albeit a strange one for somebody to have] and I dont think a worse hand is calling here, I could be wrong though. Anyways, please evaluate all streets, I have enough of an understanding to be beating these levels, right now I am just trying to get the most value out of my hands.

You aren't betting nearly enough on any of the streets. Bet more! Raise more! And I find it hard to imagine that the villain caught a runner runner straight, but I still like the check behind on the river. But if you won, imagine how much more you would have gotten had you bet more.
My sig is too much for you to handle.

The table had been tight and on the flop I wasnt too worried about anybody sticking around, its a little more than 1/3 of the pot which I dont think is ridiculously small. What should I have bet here, 1/2 the pot? On the turn I bet a little less than half the pot, what would be better here? I think I should have reraised after the BBs raise, but Im not sure how much. I know exactly why I played this passively, I havent played many cash games until recently and when I have a big stack like this I am getting too worried about being stacked on a somewhat marginal hand. If I were against a smaller stack, then I would have put a lot more pressure on them, but here the BB had me covered. Also, since this player was new to the table I had no reads on him, giving even more uncertainties to the situation. Im properly rolled for $25NL, but on big pots like this I still get nervous. The turn I think is the most misplayed street, the river however Im still confused about. What worse hands would call here to make this play profitable? Ever since asking this question I think I have become too passive in postion on the river, in what situation should I be better for value here?

6 is a little better of a bet for the turn, as there are some draws forming, and it helps get a few more bucks in the pot. after he raises, push.
