25NL - Do you go broke here?
This is my first big pot that I have lost, but I think I played this correctly. Sorry about all the "should I fold?" questions, but I think its inherent to human nature to question their losses even if they arent blatantly clear mistakes (which some of mine have been). Anyways I hit bottom set on monotone flop, lead wiht a pot sized bet, one caller, the UTG preflop raiser. Now if you question my call preflop, well Im in the BB and If I play this for set value I can get paid off by this opponent, so I dont think I went wrong there. Turn comes another queen, giving me a full house. I played it strong on the flop so I want to continue with that, 2/3 pot here, he calls. River comes a 6, I bet 3/4 the pot, he raises, I push. Villain tables Q9, takes the pot. There were only two hands I was worried about JJ and QQ, not sure how they would have played differently though. I wouldnt have been surprised seeing AA, KK, AQ, AJ, TT here, and I think that Id be ahead of opponents range most of the time. How would you play this hand?
