I'd consider raising the turn. If you check there, you're asking for a counter-raise even if he doesn't have the A. Raise $6-$7. If he folds, good, he probably had nothing. If he calls, you are probably beat but who knows. Maybe he got JJ/K8 or something. Fold vs a reraise then.

Ofcourse it's not all that easy. There's a pretty good chance you are beat when that A turns. But checking, after you took the initiative preflop and on the flop, is basically the same as folding your hand.

Bet turn, fold to raise. As played, you might consider a call.

So many folks will smooth calls with AK as two overs on the flop in the event that you are cont bluffing with AQ or worse...
As stated, I would lead the turn for that $6 or so and fold to further action.

When he called my flop bet, alarm bells were ringing. I was thinking perhaps he flopped a boat, or maybe he's on AKs/AQs. Then the Ace hits and I'm thinking I'm surely beat. What can he have that I'm still ahead of? JJ TT??

I look back at it and I don't really think it was a bad fold, but perhaps I could have lead out with $5 on the turn. Did I play the flop correctly? With two callers pre-flop should I have bet less on the flop? I am out of position....
