The previous hand I raised preflop, c-bet and took it down, but I have not been playing laggy or done anything out of line. Villian in this hand is a multi-tabler, probably a decent player at least. I think he most likely has a draw when he calls my flop bet, and possibly a weak made hand. It seems unlikely he would play a monster this way. Standard?

what can he put you on that would make him not call though? yes there is a straight draw and flush draw out there, so at worst he is a coinflip right? (or am i wrong?)

he could easily have a set on the flop or an overpair. i don't think your checkraise works in this situation because i would put you on air/draw. (maybe since i saw the cards its easier to say this, but i realistically don't see him folding)

can you post the outcome in white or something?

thinking player is not calling on this flop with an overpair or a set. hero on the other hand might have one of those hands given the way this hand was played. I like this a lot.

Like it too! I would also be very surprised seeing him with an overpair or a set here. He should fold his weak hand to you here and give you the pot

the pot is $188 and he has about $325 left. against an unknown, i dont check here because its too likely after he bets i wont have any folding equity (like if he bet $150 or pushed).

i would rather just push the turn myself because the effective stacks arent deep enough for a check raise. you just got lucky that he underbet it.

I can't see any hand calling this except maybe Axh or QJh or 9Jh. There is no way somebody plays a set this way. An overpair folds to your turn raise. I think you should bet closer to pot on the flop though since you raised UTG. You want to rep AA/KK/TT protecting from the flush. I think he just floated since you bet 5/8 pot to see if he could take it down. Since you checked, he took a weak stab at it. Unless he is some sort of gambling genius maniac and has a set there's no way he should call. I think the check-raise nets you the most money as he would just fold to another barrel.

this is only true of this guy is known for making pussy 1/3 pot bets. i think the pot is too big to go for c/r.

Good point gabe. I thought about this after it happened and I totally agree. So your standard is just to push the turn then? If I check, he bets $150, do you just fold? What about $120? $100?

It depends a lot more on what he can or cannot call with. I am repping a huge hand, so I would say he needs top-two at least to call this push. Calling my push with AT here is very -EV in the long run.

I just don't think a solid player plays a set like this. I think he most likely will raise the flop, or bet more on the turn. Also, what overpair could he have? JJ and maybe QQ, but I doubt it. I think JJ (and probably QQ) are pretty easy folds in this spot for villian. And yes, I'm very capable of playing a set or overpair this exact same way. Lastly, air is *almost* never in my range here.

Oh yeah, and he folded pretty quickly.
