Default Reflections on life on my 23rd Birthday

I am officially 23 years old now. Reflections on the last year:

    One year ago:

    - I was finishing up my temp job at a local cell phone company where I had been making $250-$300 a week working 40 hours a week.
    - I was broke, in debt, and soon to be jobless as our town is run by dumbasses who have ruined our local economy.
    - I was in and out of school, leaving cuz I hated it, and going back only cuz the extra student loan money I got paid the damn bills.
    - My days consisted of eating ramon noodles, sitting in our lousy, cramped, horrible apartment worrying about being evicted, ignoring collection agencies' phone calls; and listening to my parents and most other people give me shit about how my life was going nowhere, i would never get a job cuz my grades sucked, i was nothing but a failure, etc.

    ....Fast Forward 1 Year......

    - I played 200nl for 12.25 hours last week, ran pretty shitty over 5200+ hands at 4.1 PTBB/100 for a measily profit of $996.27 including rakeback. Quick math, thats $81.33/hour.
    - I have more money in the bank then my parents probably do, all my bills are paid, and I DON'T NEED NO FUCKING JOB
    - I'm a college dropout who's made more this year already than any of my friends who graduated will at their "good-paying jobs."
    - I'm about to go cook myself a $15 Filet Mignon in the kitchen of my luxury townhouse which is paid off for the next 6 months, i now answer collection calls with "Do u take Mastercard bitch??", and not a single person who ever gave me shit has a goddamn motherfucking thing to say to me.
    - I'm about to leave for the Bahamas for a week for a sweet ass vacation where i could win a half mill.

Thinking upon these things, I have a few things to say:

To all of the donkeys in the poker world who gladly donate their hard-earned money - I love you, all of you, I mean that, keep up the good work.

To everyone who has helped me out in the last year - You fucking rule.

To every person who ever said I would fail at life......

    I'M RIIIICCCCHHHHH BIIITTTTCCHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Pwned.

In conclusion, I would like to quote someone who I know understands where i'm coming from:

    Ilikeaces86 (03:14:31): aint life grand?

First of all, especially since no one else said it yet, happy birthday.

Secondly, I'm curious, did you just start playing poker this past year or did it just start really paying off this past year?

Lastly, you rock, and I hope someday I can be that good.

Nope. I'm perfectly happy making 80k a year.

As soon as I run 2/100.
