Default KJo on CO 25NL; I played this hand like a donk

I let the pot size balloon out of control and I don't even know why I bet the turn. Being OOP is bad. All comments welcome, please tell me how bad I suck lol.

On a more serious note, how many of you bet this flop?

BTW no real reads on villian. He made a comment after the hand that he had "pair with draw" but who really knows. Also this is NOT 6 max, a few players recently got stacked and/or left the table.

Why do you bet the flop and turn? Please elaborate if you would be so kind.

I wouldn't have raised over the UTG limp. If the limper was in MP then I like the raise more but you know UTG is calling. Other than that, this isn't really that bad.

Default I think you played it ok.

    I would have folded too.

How about to protect your hand? You're talking like you have 23o here. You can't regulary check down TPGK.

Yea I guess I'm being afraid of ghosts here but I'm just trying to think more about the hand and how I play. I bet this kind of hand 99% of the time here.

The statement about the UTG limper makes a lot of sense, as well.

I'll often check the turn here, there's not a lot of hands you can get value from and you may be well behind. If they check behind then go ahead and valuebet the river, you stand a much greater chance of being called by a hand like TT.

If they bet the turn then it's going to come down to reads. How aggressive/passive are they? Do they like to float?

PS I like the PR raise, pwn them limpers.

i usually check the turn here and value bet the river unless his vpip is like 40+, then ill value bet all streets. so i probably play it the same way except i would make it 1.25 preflop.

Come to think of it: viewing this guy's PT stats for the session (he was 50/15 for about 60 hands), combined with his little comment after the hand: "pair with draw", I'm almost positive he had 98. In that case he had 13 outs, but you can bet your ass he's not going to get me off a hand like that with a push next time. Especially when he doesn't have much money behind him as n the example hand.

I like the preflop raise, I bet the same on the turn (maybe $3 if I feel frisky), but I probably check the turn. He bets 2/3 pot, I'm done. He checks, I bet 1/3-1/2 pot on the river and fold to a push. I call 1/2 pot or less on flop to see what hits on the turn.

I continue with KJ on the flop a lot. It may be a leak, but I think KQ and AK raise UTG at this level. Two pair is a possibility on the flop, so when I am called, I think this is where I go into defensive mode. High VP$IP makes K6, K7, and 67 more likely.....

I don't call any push on the river unless I see K on the turn and K on the river....
