Default AK hits trips. facing turn min-raise.

I was just curious about this hand. This hand was against a complete unknown to me, I hadnt yet fired up GT+.
How is this best played against an unknown? How do I make the most when ahead and lose the least when behind? Should I just push the turn?

I think ur pushing the turn. If he's got boat, you say nh. This situation against an unknown obviously is a little more difficult. From many solid players this turn min-raise in position means you are drawing nearly dead and they are looking for a push. Other possibilities? He wants to see how strong is your A. For winning more, losing less? Truly the only hands ur behind are 44 and 77, correct? I think in many iterations of the hand you win far more by pushing over the turn minraise than you will lose when the opponent has the bettter hand. You also have to consider that your hand will improve about 15% of the time if indeed you are behind.

Why are you worried about being behind here? I gladly get my money in here everytime against an unknown.

I'm happy to push this. A lot of times he has a worse ace and you stack him. Even if he has a set, you have 7 outs (1 ace, 3 kings, 3 fives or sevens). Throw in the outside possibility that he's getting cute with jacks or something and I'm comfortable putting it all in the middle here. I'd have to know him a lot better than "not at all" to play it any other way.

I should have pushed the turn. He ended up having AT. I just called the raise then check/called the river and slapped myself when I saw how much money I just cost myself.

Very next hand I turned on his stats and saw a vpip of over 65%. Dammit.
