1st break update:

From a starting field of 1717, 1413 remain.

My stack has grown from 2500 to 2830 - not much, but I've been playing a very cautious game so far.

Interesting tales from my table:

Very first hand of the tournament - all fold round to MP2, who calls for 20, fold to CO, who raises to 120. Fold to BB, who raises to 430. MP2 folds. CO raises all-in. BB hesitates, and calls for the rest of his 2500 stack. CO shows KK, BB shows AA. First card down on the flop, you guessed it - a K.

Poor BB musta waited 2 months for this tourny, caught pockets aces on his first hand, had a big underdog put him all in, then busts him out. Savage.

2nd break update:

At the end of the 2nd session, the field has been reduced to 905 players. After a super dry run of cards (my best hand in the last hour has been AQ, followed by JT), I'm sat at 2,775. Blinds are now 150/300, giving me an M of 6 - so I'm going to have to start getting active really soon.

My 1st tournament goal is 25,000 in chips by the time we get ITM (final 200) - so by the next update I imagine I will either have busted out, or will be well on my way to achieving goal #1.

OK time to get back, and hope that my mini rush is about to start.

Well, that's the end of my tourny - out in 757th. I suck.

For those that are interested. Down to 2200 in chips, and I find AQ of spades in the BB. It folds round to the big stack on the button, who pumps it up 4xBB to 1200. I lump them all in, he calls and shows AK. I don't improve. End of tourny.

2 months waiting for 2 hours and 20 minutes of uninspiring play. Talk about an anticlimax.
