I have never seen anyone at any other network play a draw or marginal hand this way, but you clearly have a read, so go for it, I guess.
I am hoping to break my B2B cherry soon, so maybe in the future I'll have more constructive feedback.
Strangely, this is "standard" at B2B for a decent percentage of players. There's usually one at every table. Chase your draw to the river then bet the FULL POT on the river whether you hit or not. It's why this hand is worth discussing. Too many guys on this network think they're Gus Hanson.
He raises preflop and gets one cold call. I don't pop it up because I need to control the pot size for now.
HU, he checks the flop, and I think he doesn't have a 9, but I want to give him the opportunity to tell me if he does so I make a small bet, and he just calls. No 9, IMO. Those cards are blanks.
Now the A falls, and the turn is usually where I decide if I'm willing to take a hand to showdown or not. If I'm willing to go to showdown, I bet hard and aim to take it down right there. I really don't want to have to face the inevitable pot bet on the river, so I try to push off all the draws. This is where I go wrong in this hand, he bets the A, I raise soft because I have it, he re-raises soft to find out if I like my kicker and I just call. Horrible play there. Becasuse now I'm likely to face a big bet on the river.
The last card comes, and I really don't see him with a 6 and all that action. Here I almost LIKE the fact that he pots it but doesn't push all in. It sorta screams two spades to me.
Feedback from folks that PLAY the B2B Network would be especially interesting. Calling out CocoBill, eeeee, miffed, etc....
