    This was just terrible..

These are 9 of my worst losers. Please tell me what I did right, and wrong.
I dont want to be an ATM
    Thank you!!
    3 3 3 I'm only half evil.
  2. #2
I know the feeling. I had seven bad beats in three hours today, losing four buyins. It's just one of those days and yes I'm on tilt and still playing anyway
  3. #3
#1: dont minraise preflop, ever. make it at least 2. fold the flop, a gut draw isnt a good enough draw to raise with, and you cant be sure your A and Q outs are clean.

#2: why the fuck are you open limping with AQs? make it at least $1. why the fuck are you betting 1/5 the pot on the flop? especially a 3-suited flop? you bet to give opponents bad pot odds to draw out on you. you gave everyone and their mother pot odds. $1 preflop, pot the flop, call his raise since it will barely be any more than what you bet.

#3: fold preflop, KQo is a weak hand when faced with a raise and you are out of position. you are NOT in late position, you are in the blinds, which is the worst position because you are first to act after the flop, turn, and river. IF YOU ARENT OPEN RAISING AQs THEN YOU SHOULDNT BE CALLING RAISES WITH KQo.

#4: pussy ass raise, make it at least 1.25. you overbet the pot on the flop...i have no idea why, don't do that. continuation bets should be 1/2 to 2/3 the pot. when you get raised you should be immediately folding this trash hand.

    #5: tough luck

#6: raise the flop (no, not a minraise), raise the turn, fold the river. he check-raised real hard on the river when the board paired, obvious boat. i dunno how you can not think of a fullhouse, whenever i have a flush all i can hear in my head is "the board better not pair"

#7: theres no getting away from this hand, played fine

#8: fold preflop, suited gapper out of position against a raise = no good. i probably check-call until he gives me bad odds.

#9: here we go with the minraise again, DONT DO THAT. why dont you just send all the players an invitation saying "ALL 3-GAPPERS TO CONNECTORS, SUITED OR UNSUITED, DRAW OUT ON ME!!!!" rest of it is rather bad luck.

You'll get more replies if you post 1-2 hands per post.

Just some overall comments.. seems like you're min betting too much. Min betting is something that should never be used. Esspecially preflop, min raising does nothing when you have big hands. Also, limping hands like AQs in MP is very bad.

You also are being too passive. Hand 6 is an example of this. I would raise this flop, raise the turn, and see what the river brought. You are a pretty big favorite on the flop against a lot of hands, even if you just have a draw. Start building your pots. A lot of the time calling is the worst option out of raise/fold/call. Of course, there are exceptions to this, but don't become a calling station.

Hand 1: Fold to the pot size bet. You have A high he says he has something.

Hand 2: Raise pre-flop. I'd never minbet like that you are asking to get crushed (someone has a spade, may have two). As played, I'd fold to the raise. The only hand that may call that you have beat is KQ/QJ with the K or J of spades.

Hand 3: Fold preflop, that's why people hate playing hands like AQ/KQ out of postion. If you don't know what you want to have hit the flop, it's best to fold.

Hand 4: Why bluff with nothing? From his play, I'd bet he has a set (maybe 2 pair). I'd have checked / folded. Nothing wrong with raising preflop and showing a little aggression but learn to shut it down when you have nothging.

Hand 5: Fine as played. The short stacks were pot committed and showed plenty of aggression before the A hit, no reason to fold there. These things happen.

Hand 6: I'd have substantially reraised on the turn. Yes you might be tipping your hand, but at least then you know your getting your money in while you are ahead. As played, with two people calling an AI bet I'd expect to lose.

Hand 7: Set over set happens,it sucks. You played it well.

Hand 8: Fold preflop. As played you can (if you love to gamble) reraise/push the flop, I'd have folded the turn. He effectively priced you out of the pot. No reason to chase.

Hand 9: Raise preflop. Reraise the KK raise (to $6+) and seriously consider folding to his push. (50/50 proposition). Regardless, on the turn him not betting is a big sign. But it's easy to put him on AK or AA instead. On the river it's set over set.

Never read any stickies or announcements
You should try giving reads and/or stats with every hand and post maybe 1 or 2 at a time. You should also convert them. Anyway.. here goes...

    1) make somewhere in the neighborhood of a pot sized raise preflop and get that preflop minraise nonsense out of your arsenal. Make it $1.50 or $1.75 or $2 to go. Post-flop he comes out with over a pot sized bet and you should just fold. There are other options, such as calling with your overcards + gutshot + the power of floating, or raising as a semi-bluff at best. Folding is probably the best choice. If you're going to raise, again, make a real raise.

    2) raise preflop. min-bet on the flop is attrocious. Other then that this seems ok.

    3) fold preflop, not close. seems ok other then that

    4) terrible, you know better. preflop is marginal and IMO almost certainly -ev for a player of your calibur.

    5) lots of ways this can be played, but if we're going all the way, just get it in on the turn since this guy will very rarely have an ace (unless it's AsXs).

    6) pump it up big on the flop, you have a huuuuuuuge draw here. As played, jack it up big on the turn, the slow-call here is really bad

    7) oh well

    8) fold preflop. flop, you get your raise that you are praying for, now jack it up big and get the rest in on the turn. Another option would be to just push now. Remember you are a favorite against an overpair here.

    9) stop min raising preflop. river is unfortunate.

I have to agree those min size bets are a bad Idea really. If you let me ill take those cheap priced cards all the time. pay more attention to the cards and how people are betting when they come up. Pay real close attention if you get one of those donks who like to show thier cards I love it when they do that
It's easy to shoot fish in a barrell............. Just throw in a stick of dynamite!!

    Love me for a season
that 'kq in late position no good?' comment is the most worrying for me.

LEARN ABOUT POSITION IN POKER. first to act postflop is from the small blind round. you can't be calling raises out of position with marginal hands. From the SB you only want to be completing if you're getting good odds with a potential hand and know what you want to see on the flop.

    Default Good

Good thing is that u are here to ask advice and u acknowledge
the fact you have leaks to plug.

Also I would play at lower limits to gain experience. Move
    up when you are ready.

I recommend you to read some book about poker. Maybe
    Small stakes holdem or such.
