    Default Bookmarking threads...

Other than bookmarking threads in my browser, I don't see any way of bookmarking threads onsite. Am I missing something? I get interested in a strategy thread and then lose it 'cause I forget the author/title/subject line. A "your bookmarked threads" function would be extremely useful.

I second this... being able to bookmark threads here(no in IE) would be great. I've seen other sites that let you do this.

How about requesting such threads be added to the collections in the new "Digest" stickies of the various forums?

    For example, Beginners Circle Digest:

    ...or SnG Tactics Digest:
    http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...oker-36043.htm

i think if you came up with a way for us to 'collect' the topics we're currently watching, this would go a long way to providing warpe what he (and others including myself) would like. currently, you can go to a profile and click the 'view all posts by XXX" link. i think if you could collect in the same manner but further define the filter/query to only include watched/subscribed topics, this would be great. then clicking the 'notify me when a reply is posted' option would basically function as a 'bookmark this topic for me.' indirectly, this would also give us a way to manage our 'watched' topics, which we currently can't do other than one off when we get an email after someone has updated our watched topic.
In answer to your question... it depends...

What does the "Watch this topic for replies" option do? It's at the bottom left of each topic view (above the Quick Reply box).

I've never used it. Does it do any of what you're describing?

Never noticed it before. So...what does it do, now that I've replied?

I don't know. I clicked on it before I posted earlier. Now, you've replied and I've replied. Does it do anything?

Yeah, it does. It sent me an e-mail
Handy in some circumstances, no doubt.

ROFL the watch topic currently sends out an email update every time a reply is made to the topic you're watching. it goes to the email account you have listed on your profile. you can set the default option to subscribe to ALL topics you've started or replied to at some point (it's called 'Always notify me of replies'). I do this and get tons of email notices from FTR as a result, but it's the best (and only) way to keep track of topics that I'm involved or interested in. The volume of email is less than desirable but a handy way to keep me engaged in regular conversation/updates.

Since I end up getting an email for every reply in effect, I tend not to watch as many topics as I'd like to. It would probably ruin my inbox. I think it would actually be awesome if one of the main forum areas could be configured in such a way that it presented to a user as ALL topics they've selected to watch, and that this would change dynamically according to each individual user. It would end up being a 'my FTR topics' forum of some sorts that way, as each individual user would set their own watched topics prefs.
