    Default Looking for leaks....

Hey guys...I'm back from a 2 month hiatus from poker. But I've been playing and there have been swings. Recently I've lost a number of big hands that have put me into the red in PT, so I wanted to know if you guys could help me find some leaks in my game. Most of these hands I know what I did wrong, but I would still like a second (or third) opinion. Thanks a lot guys..

These HH's are an eye sore! Use the converter man!

Also helps to get opinions on just 1-2 hands per post.

    I'll give it a shot -

Hand 1 - Don't check that flop! I assumed you wanted to check raise, since MP1 was the pf raiser here, but I think leading here is almost always better. Bet your set! Everything else looks fine you filled up and got your money in.

Hand 2 - Your preflop raise is pretty large here. I wouldn't have went to $4. Probably around $3. That isn't the worst flop for AK but certainly isn't good. If he has AQ or a set here you only have four Js and three Ks. This is a tough situation but his check does look weak so I don't mind putting this shortstack allin here. Is he a calling station? If he can't fold you have no FE and this might be a bad play in that case...

Hand 3 - AJ/AQ isn't a great hand I like to play from EP, but raising here definitely isn't bad either. I would have lead here also, and he pretty much min-raised which doesn't tell much. What I don't like is your turn lead. He raised you on the flop, and you bet into him again. You're building the pot here with a hand that can't continue with big action. Reads always help situations like this.

Hand 4 - Here is a pure read situation hand. UTG+1 has shown nothing but aggression with his hand. After your flop raise, he reraises here... I would probably just fold here. If he has 2 overs that are diamonds (like A K) you are behind here. He is a short stack here so I don't mind your re-raise as much, but I think you are behind here.

Hand 5 - The preflop raise is pretty large, but you can expand your raises in position, so I like it. Postflop everything is fine.. probably would have went more around $3 with that draw heavy flop.

Hand 6 - HH is messed up, says everyone folded preflop? I am going to assume you had a call. I am confused because the pot is all messed up, looks like you are overbetting the entire way... Only 1 card beats you on the turn, but a lot of hands beat you on the river. I like to check/call and turn and river rather than leading out. A is very possible here.

Hand 7 - I would probably fold preflop. I hardly ever play JKo, and definitely wouldn't here. It looks fine to me here, the river is read dependent. You don't have very good odds to call here. SB took the usual fish flush line. People with big hands like to call down and bet huge on the river. Your call is about 2:1, I think that can justify a call.. you probably are ahead here at 25nl 50/50.

Hand 8 - Everything looks fine to me. I'm not scared of that flop or turn. Get your money in there!

I am no means an expert but just giving my input, feel free to question/disagree!

Hey thanks for the advice.. A lot of these hands were lost because of overconfidence, but fixing that is a summer goal of mine. Thanks once again!

Never read any stickies or announcements
    1 handed b/c i cut myself shaving

tt; raise preflop, bet flop, more on turn, jack it up BIG on river

ako; fine, sorry he made a bad pf call with kq

aqo; check to this guy on the turn. You don't have top kicker and there's 3 to the flush on the board already. This is much different then, say, if you had AKo and the ace on the board was red. Sometimes on a tough table I'd just fold preflop, against some i'd fold to the flop raise.

88: fold to the 3 bet on the flop, what do u expect to be ahead of here? i'd probably just call [the 1st bet] in this spot but it's hard doing this readless. Try to include reads and stats with these hands, they're often the deciding factor in close decisions.

77: I like the preflop raise in a full stacked game, but with all the shorties, i'd just limp. bet more on the flop.

qq: hand history is messed up, hard to tell whats going on. fyi, the (likely) bare ace of spades beats you

kjo: fold or raise preflop. *consider* checking behind on the turn. both draws hit by the river, consider folding.
